Peer review
The submission of works will be carried out through the journal's OJS platform, after the authors have registered. In the case of shared authorship, only one person will be responsible for correspondence. It is recommended that all co-authors register on the platform.
Once the manuscript is received, the editorial team will conduct an initial review to ensure that the document aligns with the journal's editorial line and stylistic guidelines, as outlined in the "Editorial Guidelines for Authors" document. The manuscript may be rejected if it does not comply with the guidelines. The author will be notified of the committee's decision to move the article to a second phase within no more than two weeks.
After Pasajes’ Editorial Team has reviewed the article, it will be anonymously evaluated by two reviewers, selected by the editors based on the article's area of specialization.
Reviewers are expected to submit their reports within a maximum period of four weeks, with recommendations to publish the article without modifications, publish it with revisions, or not publish it. The reports are sent to the author within eight weeks, and the author has a maximum of three weeks from the receipt of the report to submit the revised article.
In the case of significant discrepancies between the two reviewers, a third reviewer will be consulted. In cases of minor discrepancies or if the article requires re-evaluation after the first review, the editors will make a decision, consulting the editorial board as needed.
Pasajes guarantees the anonymity of both the authors and the reviewers. For ethical considerations and the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, please refer to the journal's Ethical Code.
